Mac Mail

Edit or check configuration of your LV.com E-Mail address

1. Open Mac Mail
2. Go to Mail on the top menu and select Preferences
3. Make sure the following settings are set:
   1. Incoming Mail Server is mail.lardeauvalley.com
   2. User name is youremail@lardeauvalley.com and not lardeau-youremail
   3. Password is the same as before
4. Click Server Settings at the bottom of the window below the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) drop-down menu
5. Make sure the following settings are set:
   1. Outgoing Mail Server is set to mail.lardeauvalley.com
   2. Server Port is 25 and the check box for Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is not checked.
      
   3. Authentication drop-down menu is set to Password
   4. User name is youremail@lardeauvalley.com and not lardeau-youremail
   5. Password is the same as before
6. Click OK and close the Accounts window
7. Click Get Mail to Confirm

Add your @LV.com E-Mail Address to Mac Mail

1. Open Mac Mail
2. Go to Mail on the top menu and select Preferences
3. Click the + sign at the lower left to add a new account
4. Under Account Type for your new account, select POP
5. Type in a description. This is for identifying your LV.com account from any other email accounts in Mac Mail. This has no bearing on the configuration.
6. Type in your Email Address, Full Name (this is what you want to people to see in the "From" field when you send them a message) and password.
7. Click Server Settings at the bottom below the Outgoing mail Server (SMT) and make sure the following settings are set:
   1. Outgoing Mail Server is set to mail.lardeauvalley.com
   2. Server Port is 25 and the check box for Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is not checked
   3. Authentication drop-down menu is set to Password
   4. User name is youremail@lardeauvalley.com and not lardeau-youremail
   5. Password is the same as before
8. Click OK and close the Accounts window
9. Click Get Mail to Confirm

New to Mac Mail?

1. Open Mac Mail
2. In the Welcome to Mail window, type in:
   1. Your E-Mail address
   2. Incoming Mail Server should be set to mail.lardeauvalley.com
   3. Account Type should be set to POP if not already selected in the drop-down menu
   4. User name is youremail@lardeauvalley.com and not lardeau-youremail
   5. Type in your password
   6. Outgoing Mail Server should be set to smtp.lardeauvalley.com
      
3. Click OK and go to Mail on the top menu and select Preferences
4. Click Server Settings at the bottom below the Outgoing mail Server (SMTP) and make sure the following settings are set:
   1. Outgoing Mail Server is set to mail.lardeauvalley.com
   2. Server Port is 25 and the check box for Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is not checked
   3. Authentication drop-down menu is set to Password
   4. User name is youremail@lardeauvalley.com and not lardeau-youremail
   5. Password is the same as before
5. Click OK and close the Accounts window
6. Click Get Mail to Confirm
